Job summary

Fawkes and Reece is recruiting an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of rail and civil engineering schemes within the MetroWest Programme across the Bristol and Portishead area. The role focuses on delivering projects safely, on programme, within budget and to exacting quality standards.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, liaise with clients and authorities, and ensure robust programme and commercial performance across live schemes in the South West.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in rail, civil engineering or major infrastructure.
• Strong background delivering bridges, highways, structures or rail civils.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and project teams.
• Excellent stakeholder and client management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and programme delivery.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts.
• SMSTS and CSCS required.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the successful delivery of bridge, highways and civil engineering projects.
• Lead project teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all projects are delivered safely and in line with client, company and industry standards.
• Take ownership of project programmes, budgets, resource planning and commercial performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and local authorities.
• Manage risks, opportunities, change control and project reporting.
• Oversee Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance across all sites.
• Coordinate engineering, planning, commercial and site delivery teams to achieve project objectives.
