Streamline Search Ltd. in Doncaster is seeking a Civils Estimator to manage tendering and costing for civil, drainage and rail projects. The role involves reviewing drawings, preparing detailed estimates, and coordinating with clients and suppliers to ensure cost‑effective bids.

You will review tender scope, engage with subcontractors, and apply value engineering to maximise value while meeting project requirements. UK driving licence and readiness for site visits are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years proven Estimator experience in civil engineering, groundworks or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering methods: groundworks, drainage, earthworks, utilities, concrete, rail.
• Experience producing detailed estimates, tenders and competitive quotations.
• Ability to complete quantity take-offs from drawings and specs.
• Strong knowledge of labour, material, plant pricing and subcontractor pricing.

Aufgaben

• Review tender enquiries, drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Prepare detailed estimates and competitive tenders for civil and rail projects.
• Create accurate quantity take-offs for earthworks, drainage, concrete and civils.
• Obtain and analyse quotations from subcontractors, suppliers and plant providers.
• Price labour, materials, plant, subcontractors, preliminaries and overheads.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to clarify tender costs.
• Identify commercial risks and cost exposures in tenders.
• Carry out value engineering to improve cost efficiency.
• Prepare tender docs, pricing schedules and supporting information.
• Maintain estimating records and cost databases.
