Job summary

TED Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Commercial Manager to join a Birmingham-based client, working in a rail/infrastructure environment. You will support commercial activities, liaise with supply chain and contractors, and contribute to cost variation assessments.

Candidates should have a BSc in Quantity Surveying, 2+ years of experience, and ideally experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantity surveying and commercial management on rail or infrastructure projects.
• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent; pursuing RICS accreditation is a plus.
• At least 2 years of quantity surveying experience and exposure to pre- and post-contract activities.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of commercial activities within delivery teams.
• Collaborate with supply chain and contractors to assess cost variations and other commercial tasks.
• Apply NEC contract knowledge to project administration and cost control.
