Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Radiographer to join the Radiotherapy team at St James's University Hospital. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist radiotherapy treatment and patient support, using a variety of equipment and treatment techniques.

The role includes organizing unit activity, supervising staff, and deputising for the team leader as required.

Qualifications

• Specialist radiotherapy practitioner with proven skills in using radiotherapy equipment and treatment techniques.
• Ability to train and support other qualified professionals, trainees and visitors.
• Ability to make clinical judgments within professional codes of practice with reference to senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform at the highest standard of patient care and technical practice in the allocated area.
• Rotate through radiotherapy service areas and deputise for the team leader when required.
• Support and train other professionals and visitors; use specialist knowledge to address technical and patient-related issues daily.
