Job summary

Royal Surrey County Hospital is seeking a radiographer for a 12-month fixed-term post at the Royal Surrey Cancer Centre, with rotation through treatment, pre-treatment, brachytherapy and review. The role involves flexible rota cover, weekend and on-call work, and travel between sites.

Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development.
BSc Radiotherapy or DCR (T) required.

Responsibilities

Deliver radiotherapy treatment on specialist equipment across the treatment pathway under supervision.
Perform daily autonomous clinical assessments of patient fitness for treatment and escalate concerns.
Explain treatment to patients and carers and provide reassurance and support during their course.
Carry out daily quality assurance checks on treatment units and report faults or unsafe equipment.
Calculate treatment doses from dose charts and treatment data and check against procedures.
Document clinical data in treatment records and verify system.
