Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking two Radiotherapy Physicists to support SRS, SABR, SGRT, brachytherapy, and our radioiodine service, with involvement in commissioning two new Radixact in-rays. Qualifications

• HCPC registration or imminent HCPC registration as Clinical Scientist in radiotherapy physics.
• Strong scientific and analytical capabilities in radiotherapy physics.
• Experience with quality assurance and treatment planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide extensive and highly complex scientific expertise to the Trust radiotherapy department at Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospital sites.
• Provide scientific support to all aspects of the Radiotherapy Physics Group.
• Perform measurement of radiation output from treatment machines and high-activity radioactive sources.
• Perform quality assurance of treatment machines and software.
• Perform computerised treatment planning and second checks on plans.
• Conduct radiation dose measurements on patients and ensure safety.
• Investigate complex physics problems and advise clinical staff.
• Evaluate, select, procure and test equipment.
