Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Senior Radiopharmacy Production Training Officer (Band 6) to lead training and competency development within the Radiopharmacy Production Team across the Southwest.

You will coordinate training programmes, maintain records, support QA, audits and invoicing, and provide operational support to the Production Lead and Deputy Lead. The role offers opportunities to shape the department during its transformation in a specialist NHS setting.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician, registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Evidence of aseptic services training or willingness to undertake PTQA or STP qualifications.
• Substantial hospital pharmaceutical manufacturing (licensed) experience including radiopharmaceutical and/or aseptic dispensing.
• Experience training, mentoring or supporting competency development of staff.
• Ability to plan and coordinate training with operational service needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, oversee and progress production training and competency development for Radiopharmacy Production staff.
• Plan and monitor training programmes and maintain training documentation.
• Support the implementation of training improvements in response to service and regulatory requirements.
• Undertake routine radiopharmaceutical production activities and support audits and invoicing processes.
• Provide operational support to the Production Lead and Deputy Production Lead and manage workload/rota in their absence.
