Job summary

Alliance Medical Radiopharmacy is seeking a Production Radiochemist to join its radiopharmacy team in Guildford. You will be responsible for daily production of PET radiopharmaceuticals, operating under GMP and EU pharmacopoeia standards, with some night shifts as part of a rota.

The role requires a scientific degree and experience in GMP environments; you will handle equipment maintenance, quality controls, and SOPs, ensuring strict safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical skills, a logical approach to problem solving, and good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Daily production of PET radiopharmaceuticals under GMP and EU pharmacopoeia standards.
• Maintain production equipment and perform first-line maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Record faults and liaise with engineers and suppliers.
• Work as rota/backup for radio-synthesis of PET tracers including night shifts.
• Prepare and review SOPs and provide training for rota/backup in production.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance with MHRA, EA and HSE.
