Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Radiology Patient Transfer Assistant to support patient movement within the Radiology Department. You will escort patients between radiology, wards, clinics and other departments, ensuring safety and clear handovers to clinical staff.

We value caring, compassionate team players with strong communication and observation skills. Roles may be full-time or part-time, with a requirement to cover day, night and weekend shifts as service needs

Responsibilities

• Escort patients between radiology departments, wards, clinics and other departments.
• Assist radiologists, radiographers and assistants in patient movement with safety.
• Ensure effective handover of patient requirements with clinical staff.
• Ensure relevant documents accompany the patient.
• Support care in CT, MRI, Ultrasound and general radiology settings.
