Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Radiology Assistant (Band 2) to join our Radiology team at Stockport. The role supports imaging services across multiple areas, delivering high standards of patient care.

The successful candidate will assist radiology staff and participate in a 7-day rotating schedule, including evenings. Full-time 37.5 hours per week with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Care Certificate required.
  • Working towards NVQ level 3.
  • GCSEs or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sonographers, Radiographers and Radiologists in delivering imaging services across trauma, orthopaedics, general x-ray, theatre and interventional radiology.
  • Support Ultrasound, CT and Nuclear Medicine services as needed.
  • Be flexible with hours and participate in 7-day working patterns including evenings.

Radiology Assistant - Band 2

FULL TIME 37.5HRS

We are looking for a well-motivated Radiology Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. The position will be a band 2 and support the Radiology service. Delivery of a high standard of patient care is an essential part of this role.

Main duties of the job

Radiology provides imaging services to hospital wide clinical areas. Our areas include trauma and orthopaedic radiography, general x-ray work, theatre and interventional radiology. The Department also provides a full range of specialist services including Ultrasound, CT Scanning and Nuclear Medicine. Your role will be to assist the Sonographers, Radiographers and Radiologists in the delivery of these services ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained at all times.

The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours. We are looking for full time applicants. Ability to participate in 7 day working patterns is essential including evening sessions.

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £45.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
