Kent Hospital in the Care New England Health System is seeking an entry-level support role in the diagnostic imaging department. The position involves assisting technologists with film processing, patient movement, and ER report retrieval, as well as transporting patients between units.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma (or equivalent) and at least six months of related experience, with flexibility to work across front office and file room areas as needed within the department.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing a variety of support services in the main department of diagnostic imaging.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist technologist in the processing of films, reloading film cartridges, restocking processing chemicals and correcting minor film processor breakdowns.
• Assist technologists in the moving of patients on and off x-ray table as needed.
• Assist senior technologists in getting E.R. reports.
• Transport patients between hospital units.
• Perform a variety of miscellaneous duties: make copies of films, watch patients and run errands within hospital as needed.
• Work in various areas of the department such as the front office and/or file room as needed in support if the main department.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A High School diploma and six months job-related experience or equivalent is required.
