Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Radiologist for a 12-month contract based in Bristol to perform non-destructive X-ray examinations on aerospace components. The role requires accuracy in recording and traceability across paper and digital systems, and reports to the NDE Production Leader.

The ideal candidate will have Level 2 Radiographer status (preferred), aerospace NDT experience, and strong organisation, communication, and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-destructive X-ray examinations of aerospace components.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure traceability in paper and digital systems.
• Report to the NDE Production Leader and prioritise workload.
• Interpret indications and evaluate findings.
• Complete inspection documentation and record non-conformances.
• Follow Quality & HSE procedures and perform 5S housekeeping.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives.

At present we are looking for a Radiologist for a 12-month contract based in Bristol on behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planets vital power needs. Please note the this role is going to be on a rotating shift pattern (mornings, afternoon and nights).

As a Radiologist, you will be responsible for carrying out non-destructive X-ray examinations of aerospace components in line with approved techniques and technical documentation, helping to ensure products meet quality and compliance requirements. You will maintain accurate records and ensure full traceability across both paper-based and digital systems.

As a Radiologist you will:

• Report to the NDE Production Leader.
• Prioritise workload in line with the customers requirements.
• Interpretate and evaluate of indications.
• Complete inspection documentation as necessary including raising failed inspection and correction documentation operation of the Shop Floor Data Manager work booking system.
• Record work details and non-conformance, checking efficiency of the process.
• Work to the relevant Quality & Health, Safety & Environmental Procedures
• Undertake basic housekeeping tasks, including 5s activity.
• Involvement in Process Improvement activity.

What we require for the Radiologist position:

• Level 2 Radiographer (preferred but not essential)
• Aerospace experience in other Non-Destructive Testing Technique
• Good organisation and written communication skills
• Computer literate will be required to use various software applications.
• Team player with the energy and drive to succeed
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements
• Customer, Quality and Delivery focused
