Circle Health Group is seeking a Radiographer to join the Imaging department on a bank basis at The Droitwich Spa Hospital. You will perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures and support patient-centred care during busy periods.

The role requires HCPC registration, a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, and experience with general radiography; postgraduate mammography experience is advantageous. This bank position offers flexible hours and ongoing professional development.

Formación

• BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
• Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control and patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.
• Postgraduate experience or additional training in a specialist area (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography) is desirable.
• Must have UK Breast Imaging certificate.

Responsabilidades

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
• Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising repeat exposures.
• Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics and bariatrics.
• Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured.
• Monitor patients’ conditions during procedures and respond to signs of deterioration.
• Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely, reporting faults promptly.
• Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques, and digital systems (PACS, RIS).
• Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters, and admin teams to coordinate care.

Salary: Up to £30 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Radiographer to join their team of staff in the Imaging department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.


• Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures.


• Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and patients with limited mobility.


• Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination.


• Monitor patients’ conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration.


• Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly.


• Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques, and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).


• Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters, and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.


• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.


• Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.


• Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.


• Postgraduate experience or additional training in a specialist area desirable (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography).


• Must have UK Breast Imaging certificate.
