Job summary

Hitachi Rail Limited in London (Waterloo) is seeking a Radio Technician to join the Field Support team. You will install, test and commission radio infrastructure, including base stations, cables, antennas and RF over fibre systems, in a railway environment and on safety-critical networks.

The role involves night shifts and collaboration with telecommunications specialists, ensuring works comply with standards. Strong problem-solving, adaptability and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and commissioning radio base stations and antennas.
• Ability to test radio infrastructure and diagnose faults.
• Experience with live safety-critical railway networks.

Responsibilities

• Install radio infrastructure including cabling & passive components.
• Test and commission radio base stations and GPS systems.
• Support fault-finding and maintenance on site.
• Coordinate with field personnel and ensure safety standards.
