A Senior Design Engineer is needed to support a leading technology-communication provider.

We are seeking a highly skilled Radio Access Network (RAN) Designer to join our team. This role is specifically focused on hands-on RAN design and does not include regional planning or optimization tasks.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to join our client’s team.

Contract: until Sep 2025

• Location: Remote
• Hours: 40, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

1. Requires a full in-depth knowledge and understanding of LTE & 5G NR (NSA & SA) technologies.
2. Prior experience working on Nokia RAN is preferable.
3. Requires an in-depth understanding of 4G/5G (NSA & SA) network architecture and software feature capabilities.
4. Experience managing 4G/5G RAN parameters in the LIVE network.
5. Handling SW/HW feature testing and trialling in testbed and live environments.
6. Advanced skills in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
7. Experience with Network Performance Analytics tools like Mycom Proptima.
8. Proficiency with drive test collection and analysis tools like TEMs, Accuver.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Engineering or Science-related discipline.
2. At least 5 years’ experience in RAN/Nokia design, with a background in communications.
3. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience developing and presenting technical workshops.
4. Ability to make reasoned decisions based on technical and commercial criteria.
5. Understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies and RAN network functioning.
6. Self-motivated team player with a dynamic approach.
7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and vendor management tools like NetAct; network admin experience is a plus.
