Job summary

Leonardo S.p.A. in Edinburgh seeks a senior Radar Sector Chief Systems Engineer to provide independent Systems Engineering oversight across radar portfolios. You will lead governance, strategy and innovation, guiding lifecycle practice, architecture decisions and cross-sector collaboration.

Hybrid working is available, with security clearance considerations in scope. You will mentor and develop a small group of successors, ensuring robust engineering performance and strong customer outcomes

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in delivering complex radar or defence projects.
• Strong capability in systems engineering governance and lifecycle management.
• Experience shaping architecture decisions and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching in effective systems engineering practice and modelling techniques.
• Promote concept development, analysis, modelling and simulation to identify risks and trade-offs.
• Own sector systems engineering strategy, governance and technical authority across radar sectors.
• Define and maintain metrics to demonstrate SE capability improvements across sectors.
