Job summary

Saab UK is expanding in the UK and seeks an Inspection & Test Technician to support radar and sensor activities at Fareham. You will inspect produced items, test units and sub-assemblies, interpret electrical drawings and ensure processes are followed to meet production targets.

Excellent teamwork, hands-on testing experience, and eligibility to work in the UK/Sweden are required. The role offers on-site work at Fareham with opportunities for training and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum experience in inspection, testing and measurement
• Capable of inspecting to IPC Class 3 standard
• Familiar with test equipment used in radar or electronic systems
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings
• UK or Swedish citizenship required for access to sensitive information

Responsibilities

• Support Inspection & Test Team Leader to achieve production goals
• Test functionality of produced units and sub-assemblies (G1X radar focus)
• Inspect produced items and sub-assemblies
• Interpret electrical drawings accurately
• Follow documented processes and record results
• Maintain IT systems and tooling relevant to the role
• Collaborate with teammates and other departments to meet delivery objectives
