Racing Sub Editor

The Sun is the UK’s biggest-selling newspaper, with a Sport team that leads with exclusives, up-to-the-minute news, sharp columnists, and must-read features.

The Super Sun Racing team creates industry-leading content daily online and in print. We break stories, provide current news, and produce the top supplement, The Favourite, every Saturday and during major racing festivals.

Your role:

As a Sub Editor for our print edition, you will help attract new fans and inform seasoned followers. You should be passionate, knowledgeable about racing, and willing to work within the racing team, assisting in designing racing content and pullouts.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Design, sub-edit, plan, and write the daily Favourite pullout.
2. Work across editorial content and daily cards using InDesign.
3. Write and edit content for the online team as needed.
4. Source stories by attending races, visiting yards, and speaking with trainers, jockeys, and owners.

Requirements:
