Job summary

McLaren Racing in Woking seeks a Quality Engineer to accelerate quality and performance across the car lifecycle, supporting design, manufacture, assembly and testing at the McLaren Technology Centre. You will work with design engineering, manufacturing and supply chain, travelling to suppliers and test facilities as needed to drive right-first-time outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Extensive quality engineering experience and a relevant degree.
  • Proficient in FMEA, process mapping and structured quality improvements.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt qualification.
  • Knowledge of carbon fibre and metallic manufacturing processes and metrology.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve non-conformances to support right-first-time production.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, inspection and assembly teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to assess capability and promote quality principles.
  • Lead problem-solving and containment for quality concerns and field faults.
  • Create and deploy inspection control procedures and support work instructions and check sheets.
