Job summary

McLaren Racing UK is seeking a Quality Engineer to accelerate quality and performance improvements across the car’s lifecycle. Based at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, you will work with design, manufacturing, inspection and supply chain teams to support test, build and racing operations.

You’ll lead non-conformances, implement inspection procedures and drive problem-solving using FMEA and metrology know-how, with Six Sigma credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive quality engineering experience with a degree in production or mechanical engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and auditing skills, with knowledge of FMEA, process mapping and quality improvement techniques.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt qualification.
• In-depth knowledge of carbon fibre and metallic manufacturing processes, together with metrology terminology.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve non-conformances to support production quality.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, inspection and assembly to resolve quality issues.
• Work with suppliers to assess capability and promote quality best-practices.
• Lead structured problem-solving and containment for quality concerns and faults.
• Create and deploy inspection control procedures and audit work instructions.
