Quality Engineer: Drive High-Performance Racing

Job summary

McLaren Racing is recruiting a Quality Engineer to accelerate quality and performance improvements across the car lifecycle. You will work with design, manufacturing, inspection and suppliers to solve quality issues and ensure right-first-time delivery, travelling to test facilities as needed.

You will bring extensive quality engineering experience, with systematic problem-solving and metrology knowledge, plus a Six Sigma belt and strong MS Office skills to support data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Extensive quality engineering experience and a degree in production or mechanical engineering.
• Strong technical problem-solving and auditing skills with FMEA, process mapping and quality improvements.
• A Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve non-conformances, supporting efficient production and right-first-time.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, inspection and assembly teams to solve quality issues.
• Work with suppliers to assess capability and promote quality principles.
• Lead problem-solving and containment for quality concerns and trackside faults.
• Create and deploy inspection control procedures and support work instructions.
