Job summary

Williams F1 Racing Team in the United Kingdom is seeking a Race Strategy Analyst to provide objective data and analysis to support decision making from pre-event reporting through to live sessions and post-event review, including counterfactual analysis that helps the team learn and improve.

You will also help build and maintain the databases and trackers that the strategy group relies on, working closely with in-house software development along the way.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Engineering, Maths or Physics.
• At least two years of technical experience in a high-level motorsport environment.
• Comfortable with large, messy datasets and turning them into actionable insight.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, accurate information to teams to support real time decision making.
• Support run plans for practice, qualifying and test sessions.
• Produce pre, during and post event reporting materials, including competitor analysis.
• Compile and maintain data for the strategy group’s databases and trackers.
• Feed back to in-house software development to help shape new features and improvements.
• Carry out analysis for Race Strategy and the wider business as needed.
