Job summary

Alpine Racing Limited in Enstone is offering a 1-year Race Engineering Student Placement. You’ll support the track operation from our Race Ops facility, working closely with race engineers, strategy and vehicle performance teams.

Ideal candidates are penultimate-year students in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport Engineering, Data Science or Analytics with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, Python or MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport Engineering, Data Science or Analytics and seeking a penultimate year placement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, MATLAB or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Event preparation, collating relevant past data and pre-event simulation
• Provide analysis during race weekends, real-time in session support and post session
• Assist in post event reporting ranging from strategy and pitstops to competitor analysis
• Assist in developing our current tools and processes, plus contribute to future tool ideas
