Job summary

Oakmoor Recruitment is seeking an experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer with an Assessor background to join a leading training provider in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. The role focuses on delivering RAC and F-Gas training alongside assessment of learners in both theory and practical sessions.

With at least five years in the industry and a recognised assessor qualification, you will contribute to high‑quality training while maintaining learner records and supporting development needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience.
• Recognised Assessor qualification such as CAVA, TAQA or A1.
• Good technical knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical subjects clearly.
• A teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, CET or PGCE) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and F-Gas training.
• Assess learners against qualifications and practicals.
• Deliver theory and practical workshop training.
• Support learners' development and assessment needs.
• Maintain accurate learner and assessment records.
• Ensure training meets industry requirements.
