Job summary

Oakmoor Recruitment is looking for an experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer with an Assessor qualification to join a specialist training provider as a Trainer/Assessor. The role is full-time and based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, delivering practical and theory-based training to apprentices and professionals.

You will deliver Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and F-Gas training, assess learners, maintain records, and ensure high training standards in line with industry

Qualifications

• Strong industry experience within Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• F-Gas Category 1 qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience.
• Recognised Assessor qualification - CAVA, TAQA, A1 or equivalent.
• Good technical knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical subjects clearly.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as AET, PTLLS, CET or PGCE would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and F-Gas training.
• Assess learners against their qualifications and practical assessments.
• Deliver both theory and practical workshop-based training.
• Support learners with their development and assessment requirements.
• Maintain accurate learner and assessment records.
• Ensure training is delivered to a high standard and in line with relevant industry requirements.
