Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an Off-Shift Director for Clifton Springs Nursing Home. You will oversee RN/LPN/CNA and secretarial staff, guiding daily operations and problem solving to optimize patient care.

As the clinical resource, you will partner with the nurse manager and providers to plan care, develop work plans, and help the unit hit financial, quality, safety and operational targets while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program.
• One to three years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees nursing department staff schedules.
• Acts as clinical resource for problem solving, assessments, and skill enhancements.
• Coordinates rapid admissions with nursing staff and admissions department.
• Supports staff development with in-services per master schedule.
• Ensures continuity of resident status with hospital supervisory staff and Nursing Administration.
• Supervises care delivery and documentation with the MD/R etc.

SUMMARY

Provides oversight of RN/ LPN/CNA and secretarial staff in the performance of daily duties. Assists in problems solving to help alleviate clinical issues and processes on the assigned unit. Act as the clinical resource person, working as a team with the nurse manager, staff and the provider to identify the plan of care for each patient. Supports nurse manager in developing work plans that enable the unit to reach financial/quality/safety/operational targets. Provide superior customer service by modeling the Brand Promise and Core Values.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees & assures short & long term Nursing Dept. staff schedules per established guidelines
• Facilitates units in emergency medical assessment & care of residents including interventions, transportation & other resources needed
  Serves as a clinical resource person to staff in problem solving, assessments, special procedures & clinical skill enhancements
• Coordinates with the Nursing Staff resident units & admissions dept. the rapid admission of residents including obtaining evaluations as indicated
• Serves as adjunct to staff development coordinator in promoting planned in-services to nursing staff as per master schedule/plan
• Provides continuity of resident status with hospital supervisory staff, and Nursing Administration
• Supervises the M.D.R. directing, interacting with residents, families and staff in providing safe, pleasant mealtime and assuring appropriate completion of required records

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program.
• One to three years of nursing experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree.
• LT PAC nursing experience.
• One year of supervisory experience.

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - NYS Office of Professions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sedentary - Sedentary roles are primarily office-based and require prolonged sitting (67–100% of the workday) with minimal physical effort and lifting limited to under 10 lbs. Fine motor skills are necessary for computer work, writing, and telephone use, supported by clear visual and auditory ability. Cognitive and emotional demands are high due to extended concentration, frequent interruptions, independent decision-making, and information processing. Although physical exposure is low, administrative areas within healthcare environments may occasionally involve contact with infectious agents. Some roles may require flexible hours, TB screening, or a valid driver’s license.
