About the role

We are looking to recruit a talented R&D Tax Manager to join our expanding Corporate Tax team. This role offers the opportunity to work with and advise clients on our R&D Tax Relief services.

This position provides a clear progression path and allows you to develop your knowledge through engaging assignments within a full-service accounting, tax, and advisory firm. You should be passionate about delivering excellent client service and enjoy working collaboratively, helping to lead and shape the team.

Key responsibilities will include:

1. Working with clients to identify opportunities for R&D tax relief/credits based on their innovative activities.
2. Collaborating with tax specialists to gather activity details and qualifying expenditure for R&D claim reports for HMRC.
3. Serving as an ambassador for R&D Tax Advisory services, supporting colleagues in identifying R&D opportunities.
4. Promoting Bishop Fleming's services and integrating R&D advice with broader offerings.
5. Leading training and development of the tax team to support R&D Tax service delivery.
6. Participating in delivering other tax advisory and compliance services to broaden your expertise.
7. Enjoying a tailored role with opportunities to shape responsibilities based on your experience and career goals.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

1. Proven experience in delivering R&D Tax Relief claims of varying complexity, gained in a full-service accountancy firm or a regulated R&D practice.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
3. People management experience, with the ability to coach and develop teams.
4. Strong project management and organizational skills.
5. ACA or CTA qualification.
6. A desire to help shape the success of Bishop Fleming's R&D Tax Services and build a market presence.
7. Additional accounting, tax compliance, or advisory experience is beneficial.
