EY UK's Global Grants Credits & Incentives team in London seeks an Engineering Consultant with a strong background in oil and gas, chemicals, and process industries to drive R&D tax incentives for clients. You will collaborate with a diverse team of STEM and tax professionals to identify qualifying R&D activities and prepare technical narratives.

You will interview senior technical staff, write detailed project reports, and assist with R&D tax calculations while developing cross-sector client

Qualifications

Degree in chemical, process, mechanical or petroleum engineering
2+ years of industry experience in oil and gas, chemicals, energy or related process industries
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; collaborative approach
Flexibility to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Lead interviews with senior technical personnel to understand projects
Write and review technical reports highlighting key factors for R&D tax relief
Identify how project aspects meet R&D Guidelines and quantify expenditure
Calculate and support R&D tax claims and assist with cross-sector opportunities
Engage with clients to deliver high-quality advice while managing risk and reputation
