We are seeking an innovative and driven R&D Project Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of key projects that align to RVT's strategic goals. Including the introduction of new products, upgrades and integrations with the Monitoring Platform ensuring project delivery is within approved timelines and budgets

The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and a technical background, demonstrating the ability to balance creativity with practicality. You will facilitate collaboration among engineers, designers, and stakeholders to drive innovation. Responsibilities
  • Drive R&D projects from conceptualisation through to completion, ensuring alignment with RVT's strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the R&D Director and key stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, deliverables and budgets.
  • Work with Product Owners to refine agreed specifications and ensure project delivery facilitates smooth onboarding.
  • Electro-mechanical solutions focused (e.g., building frames, putting together a variety of ducting solutions).
  • Develop RVTs Cloud further to have new functionality and integrate RVT Cloud with internal & external IT systems.
  • Conduct thorough research to assess feasibility and market trends, leveraging insights to inform product development.
  • Coordinate with engineering, design, marketing, operations and commercial teams to ensure product viability.
  • Develop and monitor project plans, timelines, and budgets, making adjustments as necessary to stay on track.
  • Manage product improvement projects to address quality issues, breakdowns, and additional features.
  • Facilitate review meetings to update key stakeholders and communicate progress, risks, and solutions.
  • Track and manage costs to align product and project budget scope.
  • Develop influential relationships with external partners, suppliers, and consultants to enhance project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Product Development, or a Technological related field. (E)
  • 10 + years experience in project management within an R&D environment. (E)
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex R&D projects from inception to launch. (E)
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation through commercialisation. (E)
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Monday.com, Agile, PRINCE2). (E)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. (E)
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think critically and creatively. (E)
  • Experience in working with regulatory compliance in product development (D)
