Sysco, who’s operating companies are made up of Brakes, Fresh Direct, kff & Medina, are now recruiting for a Technology Project Manager to join the Technology team on a 2-year fixed term contract.
What will I be doing?
Reporting to the Supply Chain Portfolio Manager, the Technology Project Manager role will lead, plan, and execute projects within the supply chain functional area. Responsible for receiving requirements and solutions from business stakeholders and planning and executing project delivery within the defined timeline and budget. The Project Manager will lead, plan, and manage the delivery of requirements provided by the Business Solution team, while ensuring the delivery scope is consistently maintained. You’ll also define and manage effective communication plans to support project objectives. Ensuring project delivery aligns with established governance standards, alongside formulating and controlling project budgets. You’ll be responsible for managing resources and project timelines, as well as successfully implementing changes into BAU business operations and BT service. Additionally, the role requires effective management and escalation of risks, issues, dependencies, and resource constraints, along with engaging and managing project stakeholders efficiently.
This is a home-based role within the UK, however occasional travel across our GB and European Supply Chain network will be required, so flexibility with travel is required to facilitate and support workshops and face to face meetings.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
About you:
You’ll hold extensive technology project management experience in delivering complex technical projects within fast-paced and time-critical environments, preferably within the Supply Chain technology domain areas such as: Planning, Forecast, Demand, Vendor Portals and / or a FMCG / wholesale / retail environment. Experience deploying technologies across multiple facilities and delivering projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies is essential. Experience is required with managing testing phases, overseeing cutover planning, and a strong awareness of governance controls, including risk management. We’re looking for someone who is well-versed in change management activities, including stakeholder engagement and business alignment, and possess a detailed understanding of business processes. Additionally, demonstrated strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement at the most senior levels, with excellent presentation and communication abilities tailored to various stakeholder groups. Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, and MS Project is essential.
