Job description

Job Description R&D PROJECT MANAGER

Incendia Therapeutics is a precision oncology company dedicated to reprogramming the tumor microenvironment with the express intent of bringing recalcitrant cancers into submission. Cancer cells create a hostile microenvironment to privilege their own survival at the expense of the host tissue. Incendia’s approach is to attack the structural and biochemical underpinnings of the tumor microenvironment to enable host immune cells and therapeutics to reach the tumor.

Our mission is to serve cancer patients who are the most in need of novel therapeutics. Everything we do is guided by caring for and doing the right thing for those patients. The Company’s most advanced clinical program is a clinical trial evaluating safety and potential efficacy of PRTH-101 in patients with advanced solid tumors (NCT05753722).

DESCRIPTION

Incendia Therapeutics is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our early-stage biotechnology company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project/program management within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. This role is critical to advancing our innovative pipeline and supporting our mission to provide novel therapeutics for cancer patients in need. The individual will support both pre-clinical and clinical projects and should be capable of operating effectively across all functions, from pre-IND to early-stage and late-stage trials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Manager will manage clinical-stage and pre-clinical pipeline projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely achievement of objectives.

Here's What You'll Do:
  1. Integrated Drug Development and Project Management:
    • Manage clinical-stage and pre-clinical pipeline projects, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and timelines. Work with teams to track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure clear and effective flow of information between functions.
    • Work closely with project teams and project team leaders to develop and maintain integrated project plans, including timelines, milestones, scenario plans, budgets, and resource allocations. Coordinate and track CRO activities, as needed.
    • Lead teams in developing stage-appropriate project documentation (e.g., stage-gate criteria, development plans, target profiles, study reports).
    • Facilitate meetings with internal teams, external partners, and CROs to track progress, resolve issues, identify risks, and ensure successful project execution. Develop agendas and minutes.
  2. Operational Management:
    • Oversee operational aspects of nonclinical activities, including CRO selection and study management. Collaborate with clinical operations to integrate clinical activities into the project plan and track progress.
    • Provide input on resource allocation to align with company goals.
    • Manage relationships with CROs, ensuring performance and adherence to timelines and budgets.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate nonclinical, clinical, regulatory, and CMC activities across all development stages.
    • Prepare project updates and dashboards, highlighting progress and challenges.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

The role requires a blend of project management expertise and a deep understanding of drug development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotech or pharma, managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of project management experience in biotech or pharma, with a proven track record in managing clinical and pre-clinical projects.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, regulatory requirements, and CRO management.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
BENEFITS
  • Competitive salary and benefits.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
  • Supportive, innovative work environment.
  • Access to cutting-edge research tools.

At Incendia Therapeutics, we are committed to building a diverse and equitable workplace.
