Job summary

Mondelēz International in the UK offers an R&D Packaging Internship within the Taste The Future program, based in Bournville. You will drive packaging concepts from ideation to shelf, joining the Packaging Seasonal and Tablets teams to shape consumer packaging experiences.

The role involves creating prototypes, drafting technical drawings, and participating in line trials at factory scale, with potential international travel. A 2:1 Engineering/Science degree and strong communication are expected.

Qualifications

Background in Engineering/Science based discipline preferred (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Design Engineering) 2:1 degree – predicted end result (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Lead and collaborate on a range of projects from ideation to continuous improvement.
Conduct prototype creation and development at workshop and pilot scale.
Design technical drawings and specifications for new packaging developments.
Attend line trials, first production and commissioning at factory scale.
Seasonal team: Research new seasonal trends and perform competitor analysis.
Tablets team: Assist in building the understanding of packaging materials and machinery interactions.
