Job summary

YT Tech is seeking an Engineering Project Manager for its Research & Development team in the UK. The role combines technical oversight, resource planning, and hands‑on engineering to deliver complex systems solutions.

You will drive performance baselines, coordinate cross‑functional resources, participate in hands‑on development as needed, and line manage the engineering team while deputising for the R&D Director. UK Security Vetting eligibility (BPSS) and UK residency are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering experience in electronics, software, or systems development.
• Proven track record delivering complex R&D projects.
• Excellent documentation skills for requirements, design, and test specifications.
• Strong stakeholder management and team leadership in high‑pressure environments.
• Eligible for UK Security Vetting (BPSS minimum) and UK residency.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical performance and baselines for R&D projects.
• Coordinate cross‑functional internal and external engineering resources (suppliers, consultants, CEMs).
• Participate in hands‑on development (systems, electronics, or software) as needed.
• Manage development schedules, project Kanban boards, and requirements specifications.
• Line manage and recruit engineering team members, while deputising for the R&D Director.
