Job summary

R&D Embedded Software Engineer role in Cambridge, UK. You will develop embedded software for sensing and monitoring products, collaborating with hardware engineers and scientists across the UK and Germany to deliver next-generation environmental technology.

The ideal candidate has a degree in electronic/embedded/computer engineering or CS, strong C/C++ experience, real-time systems, and good debugging and testing skills.

We're looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our international R&D team, working with colleagues in the UK and Germany to develop the next generation of environmental monitoring technology.

What We are Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Understanding of functional safety or safety-critical software (IEC 61508/SIL).
• Familiarity with FPGA/VHDL development.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence or similar Agile development tools.
• Python, MATLAB or LabVIEW experience.
