Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright LLP is establishing a new R&D capability to develop data-driven and AI-enabled products for legal services. The Data Scientist & Engineer will build trusted data assets, pipelines and lakehouse models in Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, collaborating with the Data Programme to deliver governed data for analytics and product use.

You will join a hands-on, multidisciplinary team across discovery, prototyping, engineering and productionisation, shaping how data supports

Qualifications

Hands-on data-engineering and applied-data-science work.
Experience building data products and ETL pipelines.
Turn priority sources into governed data assets.

Responsibilities

Partner with Data Programme and data owners to assess, access and combine data sources.
Design, build and operate data pipelines in Fabric and Databricks.
Create scalable lakehouse data models and reusable features.
Implement data-quality checks, lineage and observability.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to surface patterns and data quality issues.
Develop and validate ML models for classification, ranking, forecasting and anomaly detection.
Use NLP, embeddings and LLM-assisted techniques responsibly for information extraction and clustering.
Publish datasets and features through Fabric/Databricks products and APIs.
Maintain reproducible code, tests and documentation.
