Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright LLP is building a new R&D capability focused on data-driven and AI-enabled products for legal services. The Junior Data Scientist will work within R&D to turn data into evidence and reusable data assets, helping senior colleagues with exploratory data analysis, data profiling and analytical prototyping.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with SQL and Python for data preparation and analysis.
• Experience with exploratory data analysis and data profiling.
• Ability to build and test hypotheses and craft reproducible analyses.

Responsibilities

• Profile and explore datasets to identify quality issues, patterns, and potential biases.
• Use SQL and Python to prepare datasets in Fabric and Databricks workspaces.
• Support development and evaluation of baseline statistical and ML models where appropriate.
• Assist with text analysis, embeddings and AI-assisted features under guidance.
