Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is hiring an R&D Associate Chemist to develop, test and improve paint products across the market. You will work hands-on in the lab with experienced scientists to advance new formulations, support production trials, and investigate quality issues.

This role offers exposure to Quality, Manufacturing, Marketing, Consumer Services and Global Supply Chain, supporting your technical and business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a chemical discipline.
• Basic laboratory skills.
• Good written and verbal communication; confident presenting.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and work flexibly.
• Able to work in teams and on own initiative.
• Strong accountability, integrity and enterprise awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support development of new paint products and formulations.
• Test and validate reformulations of existing products.
• Conduct laboratory testing for performance and quality.
• Contribute to stage-gate development from feasibility to production scale-up.
• Support production trials and product launches.
• Assist with quality investigations and corrective actions.
• Learn formulation and recipe management systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
