Job summary

Halecroft Recruitment is supporting a well-established business in Trafford Park to recruit an R&D Chemist for their specialist technical team. The role covers development, innovation, performance testing, and technical support within a Lubricant Performance Additives environment.

You will work in a laboratory setting on development samples, product evaluations, and customer technical service requests, contributing to ongoing R&D and quality improvements while maintaining accurate data and

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or relevant scientific discipline preferred.
• A Levels in Chemistry and Maths as a minimum.
• Substantial laboratory experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a technical team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of the lubricants industry would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and test development samples.
• Conduct product performance evaluations and testing.
• Support R&D and innovation projects.
• Respond to technical service requests and customer queries.
• Prepare and dispatch samples to customers and other facilities.
• Support the day-to-day running of the laboratory.
• Manage laboratory consumables, reagents, and safety equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and test data.
