Job summary

SPS Fire & Security Ltd is seeking a cost-focused senior quotes specialist to join a small department in the south-west region. You will develop detailed cost plans aligned with customer requirements and project scope, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with current legislation.

The role involves placing supplier orders, coordinating with the delivery team to ensure timely parts arrival, updating stock records, and solving issues through phone and email communications.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent, including maths.
• Strong experience in Excel and Outlook.
• Experience in a quotes-based role.
• Well-developed communication and numeracy skills.
• Experience handling supply chain logistics (preferred).
• Experience with field service management systems such as JobLogic or Simpro (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Providing accurate costs in delivering quotes to clients.
• Placing orders with suppliers and liaising with delivery team to ensure parts arrive at locations.
• Updating inventory records to ensure proper spending.
• Problem solving via basic communication channels (phone/email).

Job Overview: You will play a vital role in ensuring we deliver the right net cost for our customers, on time, accurately, and to the highest standard. We deliver small remedials from £250 up to projects more than £1mil. across a range of sectors, predominantly commercial. This is a senior role within a small department. You'll work collaboratively with our team and supply chain partners to develop detailed cost plans aligned with customer requirements, project scope, and current legislation.

Employer Description: SPS Fire and Security Limited specialises in the installation and maintenance of specialised security equipment, including Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, PAVA systems, VESDA systems, Intruder Alarms, Nurse Call Systems, Disabled Refuge Systems, Disabled Toilet Alarms, Barriers and Fire extinguishers.

We are an ever-growing, all-inclusive team based in the south-west, with most of our sites situated in-and-around the Greater London area, including Kent and Essex also.

Who We're Looking For (requirements):

• 5 GCSEs (A-C Grade) or equivalent, including maths.
• Strong experience in excel and outlook
• Previous experience in a quotes-based role.
• Well-developed communication and numeracy skills.
• Experience handling supply chain logistics (preferred.)
• Experience with field service management systems such as JobLogic, or Simpro (preferred, but not essential.)
