Job summary

Breedon Group is seeking a Quarry Supervisor at Middleton Quarry to assist the Quarry Manager in safe, efficient operations and daily production planning.

You will support extraction activities, troubleshoot issues, and oversee day-to-day work with cross-department collaboration to meet site targets while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quarry Manager in safe, efficient quarry operations.
• Support production/extraction planning in coordination with other site departments.

• Perform admin duties: write reports, update records, assist with procurement and budgets.
• Plan and organise workloads to meet targets and deadlines.
• Contribute to Breedon Group’s health, safety and environmental culture.

We are currently seeking a Quarry Supervisor to join the team.

The primary duty for this role will be to support the Quarry Manager with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Quarry.

You will support the management of production and extraction activities, troubleshooting technical problems and overseeing planning of day-to-day operations in conjunction with other departments across site

Key Responsibilities

Safety will comprise a key element of the role. You will also be required to conduct risk assessments and health and safety inspections and to demonstrate leadership in safety.

An important element of the role will involve administrative duties, from writing reports and updating records to procurement and budget control.

An ability to plan and organise work in a time efficient fashion is critical.

The ideal candidate will have background in the extractive industry, be familiar with the extractive process with a strong focus on safety and interpersonal skills.
