Breedon Group plc in Buxton, England, is seeking a Quarry Operative to join Dowlow Quarry. The role requires shift work, including weekends, and you will be part of the Quarry Production team, ensuring high safety standards and efficient loading and processing.

You will operate a wheeled loader or 360 excavator, move materials to the crusher, perform routine maintenance, and help maintain housekeeping. The company offers a supportive environment with career development and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Experience operating wheeled loader or 360 excavator in quarry settings.
• NVQ Level 2 or MPQC qualification in truck, excavator and loader operations.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Operational experience in quarrying.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheeled loader or 360 excavator to load at the face.
• Haul materials from the quarry face to the crusher.
• Run processing systems and maintain daily housekeeping.
• Maintain high health, safety and environmental standards at all times.
• Assist with first line maintenance and general site upkeep.
