Job summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking an experienced Quarry Manager for Furnace Quarry, Inveraray. You will lead safe, efficient operations, plan production, manage budgets and drive continuous improvement while reporting to the Operations Manager.

The role requires a degree in quarry management or related field, strong leadership, knowledge of HSE regulations and experience in extractive industries. On-site role with pension, leave and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Quarry Management, Mining Engineering, Geology or related field.
• Significant experience in quarry operations with leadership track record.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management.
• Financial acumen and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quarry operations including blasting, processing and stockpiling.
• Ensure production targets are met and costs monitored with suppliers.
• Lead and develop quarry operatives, supervisors and contractors.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental compliance and procedures.
• Record keeping for materials, stock, maintenance and incidents.
• Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, quality and sustainability.
