  • Maintain and organize the laboratory including stocking essential supplies and ensuring a clean working environment.
The 3 Most Critical Attributes We’ll Use to Compare Candidates

  • Independent work in troubleshooting and problem‑solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team‑oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility and willingness to familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility.
Nice‑to‑have Skills
  • Degree or completed coursework in Physics, Applied Physics, Optics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Engineering Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in R&D of optical, electrical/electronic or mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with lasers, optical components, and alignment systems for high‑precision or experimental setups, including troubleshooting laser systems, beam alignment, and performing optical measurements.
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and optical design/layout documents, and interpreting design specifications.
  • Ability to design mechanical components using basic CAD tools.
  • Experience with Ultra‑High‑Vacuum systems.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and emergency preparedness.
