AMB Recruitment Group is recruiting a Site-Based Quantity Surveyor to join a major contractor on a long-term Manchester project. The role is site-based, offering a substantial workload and the chance to manage costs, valuations, variations and final accounts under a Schedule of Rates framework.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects.
• Essential: Schedule of Rates (SOR/NSR) experience.
• Experience in construction, refurbishment, maintenance or building fabric projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Site-Based Quantity Surveyor
Manchester
£40,000 - £55,000 DOE

An established and growing contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on a major long-term contract based in Manchester.

This is an urgent requirement, and the successful candidate will be joining a busy and well-established project team delivering a high volume of planned and reactive works.

The Role

Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you will be responsible for the commercial management of works delivered under a Schedule of Rates framework.

This is a site-based position and would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is comfortable working within a fast-paced environment, managing multiple workstreams and maintaining strong relationships with both site and client teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing costs across a high volume of planned and reactive works
• Pricing, valuation and management of works under Schedule of Rates contracts
