Foresight Search Ltd is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a regional main contractor in Bristol. The role covers multiple refurbishment and fit-out projects with varied values, offering hybrid working three days from home.

You will manage budgets, procurement, CVRs and final accounts, while building strong client and subcontractor relationships across several schemes simultaneously.

Competenze

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor.
• Experience in refurbishment, fit-out or general building projects.
• Able to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness and subcontractor management skills.
• Excellent organisation and ability to prioritise deadlines.
• Confident working independently and taking commercial ownership.
• Experience with JCT contracts would be advantageous.
• Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.

Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor - The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team.

This is a varied and commercially engaging position, taking responsibility for multiple refurbishment and fit-out projects simultaneously.

Unlike traditional main contracting positions focused on a single large development, this role requires someone comfortable managing three or more smaller, fast-moving projects at different stages of delivery.

The successful candidate will be commercially astute, highly organised and confident managing competing priorities within a busy contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial management of multiple refurbishment and fit-out projects, typically £100k-£400k in value.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, tender analysis and package appointments.
• Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Producing accurate cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
• Managing valuations, variations and change control.

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor.

• Strong commercial awareness and subcontractor management skills.
• Excellent organisation and ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
• Confident working independently and taking commercial ownership.
• Experience with JCT contracts would be advantageous.

The Package

• Salary £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience.
