Job summary

LTM Recruitment Specialists Ltd seeks a Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management across renewable energy projects including large-scale solar and HVAC. You will negotiate contracts, prepare payments, monitor cash flow and protect profitability from award through final account.

Applicants should have contractor-side QS experience, strong contract knowledge, and the ability to manage budgets and variations while travelling nationally to project sites across the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a contractor-side Quantity Surveyor role.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, payment applications, valuations and final accounts.
• Experience procuring subcontract packages and preparing orders.
• Ability to manage project budgets, costs and forecasts.
• Experience pricing and negotiating variations.
• Confident negotiation with clients, developers, suppliers and subs.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with delivery teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel nationally and stay overnight when required.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate contracts with clients, agreeing scopes and terms.
• Prepare and submit payment applications with accurate valuations.
• Monitor payment certificates, cash flow and retention.
• Obtain subcontractor quotes and prepare orders with defined scopes.
• Assess subcontractor payments against completed work and terms.
• Review subcontractor variations and agree final accounts.
• Establish budgets and track labour, materials, plant and subs.
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts and final cost estimates.
• Price and submit variations with records for recovery of costs.
• Manage notices, deadlines and records for extensions of time.
• Work with project/site managers to identify commercial risks.
• Support tender pricing and commercial evaluation of packages.
• Identify procurement savings and value engineering opportunities.
• Negotiate client final accounts and release of retention.
