Job summary

Sphere Solutions is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Newquay for a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. The role focuses on delivering refurbishment and regeneration projects, managing costs, and driving commercial performance.

You will liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors to secure favourable commercial outcomes. Based in Newquay, you will handle cost plans, valuations, procurement and contract administration while ensuring strong negotiation and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor or refurbishment contractor.
• Experience delivering refurbishment, regeneration or commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
• Commercially astute with strong attention to detail.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of refurbishment and regeneration projects.
• Prepare cost plans, valuations, forecasts and monthly cost reports.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
• Negotiate subcontract agreements and manage contract administration.
• Assess subcontractor applications, variations and final accounts.
• Prepare and submit applications for payment.
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow and commercial performance.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Support project teams to achieve successful commercial outcomes.
