Job summary

Prime-Appointments is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Colchester project team. You will manage cost estimates, BOQs and tender documentation, ensuring value for money across the project lifecycle.

You will monitor budgets and cash flow, advise on contracts, and liaise with clients and contractors to maintain financial control. On-site engagements across the UK will support cost guidance and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, RICS/CIOB accredited or working towards.
• Proven experience in UK construction projects, cost control and reporting.
• Knowledge of NEC, JCT or FIDIC contracts.
• Strong analytical, numerical and communication skills.
• Right to work permanently in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documentation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis to support viability.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow and financial performance throughout the lifecycle.
• Advise on contracts, claims, disputes and commercial terms with contractors and suppliers.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to maintain financial control.
• Visit sites across the UK to review progress and provide cost guidance.
