Job summary

My client seeks a Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager to join their office on the SE London / Kent borders, handling cost management across high-value residential, education, healthcare and some commercial projects. The role suits a QS with project management interest and a couple of years post-graduate experience.

You should be working towards APC to become RICS qualified and hold a recognised UK QS qualification.

Qualifications

• Two years post-graduation experience with a consultancy or PQS.
• UK quantity surveying qualification (BSc or equivalent) and APC progress toward RICS.
• Experience in cost control, contract administration, procurement and tendering.
• Ability to prepare cost plans, budgets and tender documentation; procure contractors.
• Strong written and spoken communication with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, budgets and tender documentation.
• Procure contractors and suppliers and manage purchasing.
• Administer contracts and organise project meetings, including minutes.
• Provide financial reporting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support a mix of quantity surveying and project management activities.
