Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing specialist infrastructure contractor delivering major power, utilities and civil engineering projects. You will work alongside senior colleagues to support pre- and post-contract commercial activities and cost control.

This role offers exposure to complex infrastructure projects, with clear progression into senior commercial positions, and a hybrid working model with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts; JCT experience advantageous.
• Strong understanding of commercial management and cost control.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with site and commercial teams.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial delivery of civil engineering and utilities projects.
• Assist with procurement, valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.
• Prepare cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
• Manage variations and change control.
• Work closely with Project Managers and subcontractors.
• Support tendering, pricing and contract administration.
• Assist with final accounts and commercial close-out.
